Texas Restaurant Certification Courses

Dallas College partnered with Texas Restaurant Association to create and deliver series of safety training/courses aligned with the guidance given by public regulatory agencies. 

The project consisted of 5 courses focusing on the restaurant's roles: managers, takeout/delivery line staff, servers, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew. It is a collaborative work between instructional designer, creative services department, marketing, culinary department, and others.

5 Courses Created in eCampus/Blackboard:

  • Course 1: Strategies for Supervisors
  • Course 2: Strategies for Takeout, Delivery and Food Truck
  • Course 3: Strategies for Front House Staff
  • Course 4: Strategies for Back of House Staff
  • Course 5: Strategies for Cleaning Crew

Courses 4 and 5 were fully translated to Spanish.
